Time for bed - How Toddler Sign Language Helps Us

We started learning simple signs in Day Care and I bought a board book titled Baby's First Signs.
One evening my now 17 month old began turning from the sign for milk, which had a picture of a baby bottle to the page for bed.
She did this several times until I made her a bottle and put her to bed. She was asleep in less than 5 minutes.
Her favorite sign is "more," though she doesn't always let me know what she wants more of!
She had a number of ear infections at a critical stage of speech/language development as well as trying to teach her a second language (Italian), so her verbal skills are very slightly delayed and the signs she uses really help me.
