Baby will not sign
Dear mama signs
My husband and I have been signing with our daughter since she was 4 months old. she is now 10 and a half months old and has yet to begin signing. She displays understanding of the signs milk and eat but will not sign. Do we keep signing the same words until she signs them or do we introduce more? Is it possible that she may not ever sign?
Thanks,
C

Hello C,
Keep it up! Just be sure that you are using the signs in context (such as signing "bottle" when handing her a bottle, for example) and that you definitely have her attention when you sign. Also be sure to use the same sign for the same things consistently.
Babies learn at different rates. Your baby is displaying comprehension, which is a great sign! Some babies sign later than others, so keep your patience.
Like it says on the "How do we teach it?" page, repetition is important! (http://www.babies-and-sign-language.com/baby-signs-teaching-infant.html)
Good luck with your little one!
